Rip-Off Ireland – Still Going Strong – Take Two!
Feb 12 2007
So back in January we saw the usual price increases that appear to assault people in a new year – bus fares, cement, ESB, etc. I thought an update on a few other small but still important price increases that will reduce the old cash in our pockets:
- Cost of basic stamp rises to 55c from this march.
- Cost of Eggs increases by 8 – 10 cent
- Cost of VHI Health Insurance has risen by approx €5.50 a month.
- NTL Cable Subscription goes up to €21.49 per month (not inc VAT).
For an average household this adds up to an extra €2,748 a year if you include these with those increases listed in January.
