Today Toshiba announced the introduction of the Worlds Lightest & Thinnest Series of Notebook PC’s. In developing its new notebooks, Toshiba thoroughly researched the wants and needs of mobile users, with a view to providing a product embodying a “TRUE MOBILITY” concept: thin, light, with long battery life.

The new PCs will be launched in Japan in June 22nd as the dynabook SS RX Series and shortly afterwards in overseas markets as the Protege R500 Series. All PCs in the series share another claim to fame: the world’s slimmest case, only 19.5mm at the slimmest point. And all can boast of long battery life, thanks to a high capacity battery pack with a life of as long as 12.5 hours. The combination of all these factors adds up to a range of notebook PCs that redefines the meaning portable computing.
