DSL remains the largest broadband access platform in terms of subscribers, accounting for 72 percent of high-speed internet subscriptions, while other platforms make up the remaining 28 percent.

Eircom’s market share of retail DSL lines remains unchanged compared to the last quarter of 2006 with the telco retaining a 66 percent share of subscriptions. In the past 12 months, Eircom’s share of retail DSL subscriptions has declined by 7 percent in total.
