DSPCA Attempt Microchipping World Record
Jul 5 2007
The Dublin Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is going to attempt a brand new “World Record” for micro chipping as many dogs as possible in one day.
The event will take place at the Bakers Dogs’ Day Out, July 7th 2007 in the RDS.
Micro chipping will be carried out at the event for the spectacular price of just €5 per dog.
Bakers Dogs’ Day Out is about fun for dogs and their families, be they full breed, half breed or no breed at all. Everyone is welcome to come along and take part in the exciting doggie games and competitions and it’s all in aid of The Dublin SPCA, Ireland’s oldest animal welfare organisation.
By law, all dogs have to wear a collar with a tag showing its owners name and address, but collars can break; identification tags fall off and get lost. Microchips identify your pet permanently and harmlessly.
The Dublin SPCA is hoping to microchip over 3,000 dogs at this Dogs Day Out at the fantastic price of €5 per dog including free registration and collar ID tag.
